![]() ![]() ![]() Boy was I wrong! I will never ever buy a Murray product again! VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER! AND REGRET I EVER BOUGHT IT! Please don't ever consider buying this mower, you'll regret it majorly! Shame on you Murray for selling such a messed up product! As it was coming off his trailer I saw the front end where the paint was off! He said that it ran into another mower while he was loading it! He said, "I'm sorry about that but it'll be fine, you'll probably get it scratched up along the way!" No offer to fix it or nothing!Īfter 2 times cutting the belt came off and has continued since! Every time it comes off mind you it saws on the belt and it soon breaks! Going to buy my 3rd belt at almost 40.00 a pop because belts are NOT covered! I have had 3 foot surgeries and I can NO longer push my yard so I spent over 12,000.00 on this mower thinking it would last me many years. ![]() They did and when it was brought back after several weeks, he said it was fixed. Anything else to try, like draining the oil and replacing or something? It was a cheapie mower, but I would rather not spend another $200 and create more garbage if I can help it.Thanks in advance.I was told that a certain company would call me and set up a time to pick it up. I've never opened the carburetor and bought it new, so should there be a pin, and if so, how did it work before without one? Is it worth just buying a new carburetor for $40, or does it not seem like this would be the problem? I also changed the filter, and we didn't think it was the spark plug because the engine did fire up a couple of times for a few seconds. I believe that the carburetor is a Briggs & Stratton 590556 Carburetor from the looks of it, but I can't find any photos of what the inside is supposed to look like. The carburetor was also full of gas if that says anything (I don't know anything about engines at all). ![]() There is a float, but no sort of pin or anything, and the hole is more of an oval with a metal thing going into it that is not removable (see photos). Everything that I have read and watched shows a pin and seat coming off of the float- mine doesn't have that. So after taking the mower apart (yikes) and removing and opening the carburetor, I am kind of confused. I decided to try and fix it myself, and from reading and watching youtube videos, I thought maybe it was a carburetor problem. After pumping the bulb several times AND opening the top to where the oil goes, it will crank up for a few seconds and then dies. We went to crank it up last week after being stored for winter (didn't leave gas in it), and it won't run. I bought a Murray M22450 22in mower from Walmart last spring, and it worked fine for us all summer. ![]()
